Kate Landry Has a Plan by Rebekah Millet | Review

I’m on a roll with reading awesome books lately. Spoiler: 5 stars for Kate Landry Has a Plan! (It releases March, 18, 2025!)

Check the back cover, followed by my review.

Back Cover

Forty-year-old Kate Landry’s carefully planned life has become as messy as the powdered sugar on her famous beignets. Juggling the responsibilities of running her café, raising her teenage niece, and the emotional baggage from her breakup, Kate finds her world once again turned upside down when her first-ever crush, Micah Guidry, returns to town as the hunky local librarian.

As Kate struggles to implement her plans to expand her café amid the New Orleans Mardi Gras madness and the meddling of her conniving ex-fiancé, Micah becomes the unwitting hero of her misadventures, stirring up feelings she thought she’d long buried. How can falling in love in the Big Easy be this hard?

Rebekah Millet spins a delightful tale, set against the vibrant backdrop of New Orleans, proving that sometimes the messiest of situations can lead to the sweetest outcomes.

My Review

Kate Landry Has a Plan did not disappoint!

I adored Rebekah’s debut (Julia Monroe Begins Again) and we met Kate there. I’m thrilled Kate got her own story. I laughed and cried throughout this one and had a hard time putting it down. With one point-of-view, forty-year-old Kate’s inner dialogue is hilarious and relatable. From its southern charm, cinnamon roll hero (to quote Kate… swoon!), powerful faith thread, and sweet love story … I was hooked. The ‘Gilmore Girls’ feels was spot on too and so heartfelt. Loved it and can’t wait for more from Rebekah Millet!

Thank you Bethany House for my complimentary copy! All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own. I loved Kate Landry Has a Plan and give it full 5 stars!!

You can get your copy of Kate Landry Has a Plan on amazon.ca and amazon.com and I believe there’s a big discount on pre-orders with Baker Book House. Again, this one releases March 18, 2025!

Note: Be sure to pick up Julia Monroe Begins Again too! But both books in this series can be read as standalones.
