Ambush of the Heart by Mary Connealy is the first book in the Rocky Mountain Marshals series. It’s been a while since I’ve read one of Connealy’s books and I was invested! Check out the blurb, followed by my review.

My Review

Mary Connealy is a fun author who writes adventure, faith, love, and cowboys. It’s been a while since I’ve read one of her books.

This one is the first book in the Rocky Mountain Marshals series. Though it’s a historical romance novel, its written in several point-of-view’s, which I don’t see often. I’m curious which hero and heroine will be the focus of book two in the series… although Owen and Delaney were the center of Ambush of the Heart, we definitely got teasers and were even in the POV’s of some of the other marshals who I think would make great heroes for the next books in the series.

This book is set in the rocky mountains, in very remote places as the marshals transport a prisoner, and also siblings Delaney and Boone. Until their two days trip becomes weeks.

Adventure, survival, & justice are strong themes in this novel. It’s clean, Christian Fiction, inspirational historical romance.
